The short-grain rice is the most common type of rice in Spain. It is a rice type especially selected from the botonical varieties of Valencia in order to offer the best grain from which to enjoy all types of rice dish. The grain has the characteristic of absorbing the flavours of the stock in which it is cooked, making it the ideal type of rice for paella among other typically Valencian dishes.
